A fully booked Tech Day brought together developers from across the Borås region

Borås Tech Day 2025 became an inspiring meeting point for people passionate about technology from across the region. The event was fully booked, with over 170 registered participants, and Textile Fashion Center was filled with developers, tech enthusiasts and students from across Sjuhärad.

Interest was high even before registration opened, clearly showing the strong need for a dedicated forum for developers in the region.

“Many in the industry have expressed a strong desire for a meeting place for developers here in Borås,” says Leif Andersson, Project Manager for the event at Tech Borås. “With our network of tech companies, we saw an opportunity to create an inspiring conference together – aimed at developers and related roles.”

A mix of organisations, industry and students

Participants came from a broad range of organisations – from startups to municipalities and larger companies – as well as students from the University of Borås and higher vocational education. Many appreciated finally having a local event aimed directly at those working with technology and development.

Insights into the future alongside technical deep dives

The event on 22 October ran as a full-day programme, including a well-attended pre-conference in the morning. The programme featured inspiring talks, open space sessions, technical deep dives and plenty of opportunities for networking. Speakers from various organisations in the region shared insights, experiences and perspectives on the future.

Alongside the talks and open space sessions, exhibitors hosted activities in the Maker Space, where participants could try out tech activities together with Navet, föreningen Vbytes and Spinrock Innovation Lab.
